AmeriCorps VISTA -Financial Education
We are looking for a resourceful and energetic bi-lingual person who wants to help expand our Financial Education program and gain experience in marketing, community development, affordable housing, and nonprofit management from a team of professionals. The VISTA will help families working to build their futures by enhancing our financial fitness curriculum, translating the materials to Spanish, marketing the program to the community, and assisting families in reaching their homeownership goals.

NeighborWorks® Sacramento offers housing counseling services and has recently expanded to include financial education. Our organization works with many families who would benefit from learning how to make the most of their financial resources so that they can achieve goals such as obtaining education, purchasing a home, or paying off loans. The VISTA will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of many families.
The VISTA will:
-Improve our existing Financial Education program by developing dynamic activities that will complement current content
-Help develop and implement a creative marketing plan for the Financial Education program. This will include working closely with residents, providing presentations at community meetings, and developing new partnerships in the community to reach families that do not speak English or do not use the internet.
-Assist with evaluating and tracking outcomes of the Financial Education program.
