This program is for homeowners who are having difficulty affording their monthly mortgage payment. The counselors at NeighborWorks® Sacramento are here to guide and support you through the foreclosure prevention process. Please review the frequently asked questions to ensure we are able to work with you.
At your first meeting with a housing counselor, your documents will be reviewed to ensure that all forms are fully complete and all signatures have been provided. Once this has been completed, your housing counselor will submit your hardship packet to your lender to begin the modification review process. During the modification review process, it is likely that your lender will require updated documents from time to time. To ensure you receive the most out of your experience with us, we need to receive & process the required forms & documents in a timely manner.
How to Schedule an Appointment
1. Call our friendly front desk staff to schedule your free appointment. (916) 452-5356.
2. Complete a foreclosure prevention packet. Please bring the completed packet with you to your appointment.
It is extremely important to provide all documents on our checklist. Without the full packet we may not be able to submit your modification request. You must provide single-sided copies of the required documents. Bank statements and utility bills must include all pages even if they are blank.
