Preferred HomeOwnership Lending Professional


This is a program, where lenders and NeighborWorks® HomeOwnership Center work together to provide home purchase opportunities for our customers.   Only lenders who are Preferred Lending Professionals will have access to NeighborWorks® Sacramento’s mortgage assistance programs including CalHome and PAL.  The Preferred Lending Professional Program accepts rolling applications.

As a HUD certified housing counseling agency, we are mandated to provide at least three lending referrals to our customers when discussing mortgage products.  Instead of limiting the discussion to just three referrals, customers are referred to our website to view the complete list of lending professionals with whom we work.  Customers will have the option to choose any lender they would like to work with. 

 

Steps to Apply as a NeighborWorks® Homeownership Center Sacramento Region

  1. Complete and submit the Application Form with all the required supporting documentation.
  2. If approved, the authorized lender or broker will sign the Program Participation Agreement and pay the annual participation fee of $500.00 to NeighborWorks® Sacramento.
  3. All approved lenders are required to attend a NeighborWorks® Sacramento Training before they are added to the approved lender list.  Trainings dates are posted on the website calendar.
  4. Annually- lenders will be required to complete a renewal form, complete and sign the Participation Agreement and pay the annual fee (subject to change).

 

FAQ

Q. Does the annual fee have to be paid by each branch office?

A. No.  The $500.00 fee is an annual fee paid by the company, all branches are covered once the fee is paid.

 

Q. Who needs to attend the Preferred Lender Training at NeighborWorks® Sacramento?

A. Any lender who would like to use our down payment assistance programs is required to attend a training before they submit loan application packet to our lending department.

 

Q. Can more than one contact be listed on website?

A. Yes.  There is a $100.00 processing fee for each additional contact added to the list.  A request form will be provided at every training for individual lenders to make this request.
